It’s in the middle of nowhere but the road to there is AMAZING. So it is just a perfect stay. End of story. Thanks to the host for the wonderful experience. Absolutely recommned.

We found the staff friendly and stand alone accommodation was great for our 1 night stay. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, impressed with the bathroom and shower. Waikuku Beach Holiday Park is situated in Waikuku Beach, 32 km from Christchurch Art Gallery, 32 km from Canterbury Museum, and 33 km from Hagley Park. Location ... so close to the beach! Very handy having the dairy/takeaway so close. We were en route to begin cycling the A2O bike trail. We didn't want to go into Christchurch as we needed to keep driving to Ōamaru so staying at Waikuku was perfect.

With mountain views, Mt Potts Lodge is located in Ashburton Lakes and has a restaurant, a shared kitchen, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. Great staff, large room and clean toilet with a bathtub. Restaurant on site has a lounge with pool table, books, magazines, TV and sofa. A great place to chill. Great wifi there.
