Wilpattu
Set within 33 km of Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 34 km of Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Wilpattu, Leopard Trails Wilpattu features accommodation with seating area. Featuring a garden, this 5-star campground has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Incredible property, clean and luxurious tents, incredible food, very knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend. Do remember to budget for a game ride($70pp), it's a must see/do.

Wilpattu
Some units in the campground have private entrance and are fitted with desk and wardrobe. Some units have a terrace and/or a balcony with pool views and an outdoor dining area. At the campground, every unit is equipped with a private bathroom. The room was built well, spacious and had a great AC. From the room windows we were able to spot animals like monkeys and squirrels, and we saw plenty of birds in the area as well. The staff were AMAZING. Super helpful and nice, always available for questions and explanations about the wildlife. We booked the safari tour from the hotel and it was great decision - they provided us with great food and we were accompanied by Shantha, a guide from the hotel, who was friendly, professional and thanks to his knowledge we were able to see two different leopards in two different days. We recommend asking for the tour with him.

Highly innovative and fun rooms - containers on stilts! Unusual but it works brilliantly. Staff were very warm and friendly. Lastly, Tarique and Lakshi are brimming full of suggestions on activities and food recommendations. I’m glad we followed their advice: a highly memorable evening boat safari and fisherman’s dinner by campfire on a sandbank.
Great location next to Wilpattu National Park. The room was spacious, very clean, and the evening meal was excellent.. Dylan, the owner, is very friendly and arranged a full day safari for us, providing take-away breakfast and lunch, binoculars, and even a zoom lense for our phone. Our jeep driver was very experienced and knew where to spot leopards, bears, etc. Highly recommended.
Perfectly located on the edge of the national park. The setting is beautiful. The tents are spacious & have a living room which is great when sharing in a group. The night walk was fun too - the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable although it’s really just a 15 min walk around the campsite.
The evening dinner was a great experience under the stars with excellent waiters serving a nice dinner . Seeing the Wildlife on safari was a great experience and the wide range of birds , butterflies and some rare animals like the Loris. We also enjoyed the traditional cookery demonstration. Camping was much more comfortable than usual and we didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes. Organisation was great and catered well for vegans in our family.
It is close to Wilpattu NP so that's handy. It was very clean and the housekeeper and cook Johan did everything to make you comfortable. He is very nice. 1 or 2 nights there is more than enough because there is nothing to do.
This was our first glamping experience and very enjoyable. Clean bedding and tent. Liked the evening fire before dinner and the food was delicious.
We had me of the best sleeps there during our whole stay in Sri Lanka! They have really comfy glamping tents and huge outdoor bathrooms. The safari was THE BEST and one of the biologists who runs the lodge accompanied us and told us so much about the wildlife.
Located directly at a river, when we arrived we made a boat tour on the river. no noise except the nature. the boat has no engine, just man power :-) the owner Tarique is very kind and helpful. he organized a safari in Wilpattu, it is located 4 km away from the entrance - topp! We really saw many animals - also a leopard with 2 babies. The food is delicous. We had a tree house, it was very clean and comfortable, our 5 years old daughter loved it - we also!! If we come back to Sri Lankda, we will definitely come back here!
The camping experience was pleasant and the tours offered were fantastic including the naturalist - night tour and village tour
