15 km from Askham Hall in Penrith, Inglewood Shepherd's Huts offers accommodation with access to a hot tub. There is a private entrance at the campground for the convenience of those who stay. We loved everything about our stay. The property was super clean, tidy and cosy. We could instantly see every little detail had been well thought out upon our arrival. We have already recommended Inglewood Shepherd’s Hut to our friends and we can’t wait to stay again.

Offering a garden and garden view, Hylton Park Silloth Caravan Holiday Homes is set in Silloth, 46 km from Derwentwater and 46 km from Buttermere. Lovely caravan, incredibly clean and comfy. Everything you could need for a few nights away. Couldn't fault Dawn, she was excellent help before during and after. Wonderful host.

Offering a bar and lake view, 3 Bedroom Modern Caravan Sleeps up to 8 is located in Millom, 26 km from Muncaster Castle and 43 km from Lake Windermere. The caravan is very spacious and modern with comfortable beds. The views over the lake are stunning and it is a 2 minute walk from a great onsite bar and a beach, there are also fantastic water sport facilities. We enjoyed the space and had a lovely relaxing experience.

The Lakeside Glamping pod was really well thought out. There was a fully stocked 'kitchen' (utensils, mixing bowls etc) with 2 electric hobs and a microwave. Welcome pack with 2 mini bottles of wine, and bare essentials (biscuits, mini milk jiggers, tea, coffee, hot chocolate) presented nicely on the table. Bathroom contained mini toiletries like a hotel room would, and there was a small washing up pack by the sink (sponge, washing up liquid, 2 x tea towels and a cloth). If you arrive late and night and haven't been to the shops it was these little finishing touches that were lovely. There was also at least 6 USB sockets in addition to plugs, as well as a torch. Lots of local information in a folder including walks and stile free walks/trails for the less mobile.

Howbeck Lodge, a property with a garden and a terrace, is situated in Hesket Newmarket, 30 km from Askham Hall, 41 km from Buttermere, as well as 26 km from Brougham Castle. Beautiful pod in amazing surroundings, the family were so helpful and provided everything we could need, We ordered the BBQ pack which was excellent value and food was amazing, also came with jacket potatoes and home made salads, the food was fresh and delivered to our pod, the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The whole site was clean, tidy and beautifully maintained. Loved every minute of our stay and we definitely will be visiting again.

Situated in Grange and only 25 km from World of Beatrix Potter, Guides Getaway features accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful location , clean and extremely peaceful

Woodmans Huts is a recently renovated campground in Haverthwaite, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Lovely little hut, had everything you need and could ask for. The hut has underfloor heating.

Located in Flookburgh, Haven Lakeland 3 Bed Luxury Caravan offers a heated pool. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The caravan was lovely- clean and comfy. Everything you needed including towels tea towels etc Host thought of everything with some treats left - and some for our grandchildren - not expected but appreciated and a lovely touch- correspondence with owner second to none- he really wanted to make sure we had a great time
