Situated just 14 km from Omaruru Railway Station, Ondudu Safari Lodge features accommodation in Omaruru with access to an outdoor swimming pool, a bar, as well as free shuttle service. What a wonderful and unique lodge! The location is just breath-taking and the cabins/tents are luxurious and well spaced out from each other. And the staff is warm and professional and made sure that we for our anniversary also got a surprise from the lodge. We stayed in room 6 (thanks to others for mentioning this in their review) which has a stunning view, even better than the rest of the rooms. The common areas are well taken care of and have everything you need. We did a sunset hike (not a hike actually, it took 10 mins to get up to the small peak from the lodge), where you have an unobstructed view of the plains below the mountains during sunset. Here we could also observe a family of 18 baboons playing a hundred meters from us.

Ozohere Campsite and Himba Village is set in Uis and offers barbecue facilities. This luxury tent offers free private parking and full-day security. The campgrounds were very clean and nicely spread out. Very quiet and peaceful at night. The shared shower rooms and toilets were clean. Lots of rocks in the area to climb and explore. The host is a genuine lady who also supports a Himba family living nearby. In the morning, we took a walking tour to visit a Himba family and learned about their way of life. We would definitely recommend this campsite to our friends.
