Offering barbecue facilities and garden view, The Feathers Shepherds Hut is situated in Áth Eascrach, 26 km from Claypipe Visitors Centre and 28 km from Roscommon Museum. The breakfast provided was so fresh and delicious. The bread, eggs, tomatoes, orange juice and pressed coffee made for a luxurious morning! The hut was incredibly well built, the shower water was hot and plentiful, every detail was thought of in the kitchen for amenities. The king sized bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows and cozy bedding. The chickens and ducks outside the hut made for a very pleasant atmosphere. The seating outside with farm views and magical fairy garden made the stay so wonderful. The host was gracious. She met us to introduce to the details of usage and then checked in with us briefly to make sure all was well. Her contact felt like "just the right amount".

Located just 48 km from Cross of the Scriptures, Podumna Glamping Village provides accommodation in Portumna with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as full-day security. This was a wonderful stop along our trip. Location was great walking trails the castle we even got a craft fair and a festival. The owners Dick and Liz couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and their nephew Jack was always checking that we are okay and if we needed anything.
