The setting is perfect; quiet, great views and loads of space. We had glorious weather so made use of the BBQ and sat out on the decking area morning and night!

Thornhill
The luxury tent includes a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, as well as a kettle. Towels and bed linen are available in the luxury tent. The property has an outdoor dining area. We had a lovely stop over stay at the little hut/wagon on the way up to the Highlands. It was very clean, well equipped, cosy and comfortable. It has a quaint and rustic feel that was very welcoming. There's a kettle, microwave and toaster, heater and compost loo to meet your basic needs and the hut is surprisingly quiet on the inside. The bird life around is simply wonderful and the rural setting is ideal to escape the world. Thank you for sharing this special corner of the world with passing guests. We'd be happy to return. Lovely, spacious caravan with good WiFi and a smart TV. Beds were made for our arrival, and hand towels and cleaning products were provided. We loved the remote location, and the site was so peaceful and quiet with lots of wildlife right outside the window!
Room with veranda on the lake and excellent view was superb
Elaine was the perfect host. The room was beautiful, equipped with all the basics. My girls had a brilliant night sleep. Lovely hot shower. Everything we needed.
The property was beautiful, every little detail of the decor was lovely. The beds were very comfortable. The sunsets were to die for 😍
The hosts, George and Elena were warm and welcoming. Very friendly and nothing too much trouble. The lounge was a great feature and relaxing. The veranda was lovely to sit out on. Breakfast was cooked fresh. The room was excellent.

The cabin is in a good location for exploring the wider area of Dumfries, a short walk to a stoney beach, lovely pub called The Steamboat Inn just 5 minute walk up the beach. There is plenty of wildlife around, lots of rabbits and birds and deer. The hoover was very good thankfully.
The amount of space and that everyone had their own bathroom close to or within their bedroom (en-suite). The balcony area was lovely for views over the firth, especially at sunset.
I loved the beautiful little garden with all of its wildlife and the panoramic view of the bay, with a different, stunning sunset every night. :)
