The hosts were super nice, friendly and accommodating. Wilma stayed in my cabin to look after my pets one night so that I could go kayaking and see the bioluminescence in the harbor. You cannot beat this kind of customer care! Franco buit me a bonfire twice during my stay. You just have to ask and Wilma and Frano will do their best to accommodate you.The site itself is super quiet. I only had to look up to see monkeys, parrots and a great variety of birds. The kitchen was well equiped. I loved every minute of my stay there. Going to the beach was an adventure and my dogs loved the walk there. They struggled a bit crossing the river over a suspended log, but that was part of the adventure:) I only want to add that this is rough camping, simple and secluded. If this is what you are looking for, you will be in heaven.

The place is amazing: you'll spend your days and nights surrounded by the jungle and the view is stunning. It is also not far from the beaches and restaurants... by car or quad. The host is extremely nice, available and helpful! Also, the bedding is very comfortable. I loved it and would recommend the place to everyone!

We brought our own food to cook. Sometimes we had to waite until the staff was finished cooking. But that was no problem. Cooking is on wood fire. This isnt the place for luxury so dont expect this, but you will be rewarded with a touch in the live of an real costarican farm. I would recommend it to everyone. There is a river where you can swim, waterfalls and do especially the night tour.

Ubytovanie Fully Furnished FAMILY JUNGLE TENT, Latino Glamping Paquera sa nachádza približne 34 km od miesta Montezuma Waterfal, má patio a ponúka výhľad na záhradu. We stayed at the jungle tent for one night as we had arranged to do the Bioluminescence tour with Franco. The location is just perfect, it’s at the end of a long track and is surrounded by forest. The jungle tent was a really good size and it was a short walk to the showers and toilets. The wildlife around the tent was great, we saw a variety of birds, frogs, crabs and howler monkeys. We did the Bioluminescence tour in the evening which was excellent and a really good social with Franco, his assistant and another couple. Afterwards we returned and Franco and Wilma lit a fire for us and joined us for a drink. The reception we received was very warm and Franco and Wilma are lovely people and can’t do enough to help. In the morning we walked to the beach, the dogs joined us and showed us the way. This took around 20 minutes. The beach is wonderful, it’s large and empty. We saw red Macaw there. The visit felt very authentic and a bit of the touristy track which we enjoyed. I highly recommend it.

The location right by the beach with a wonderful Veranda lends for hours of sunset gazing and bird watching . The staff are all super friendly and helpful and it’s one of the cleanest hostels I‘ve seen in all of Costa Rica. The bathroom is painted in jungle scenes and made me happy every time I entered . The breakfast is so big and varied that imI almost couldn’t eat it all. They can organise tours for you and you get a discount if you stay at the hostel . There are supermarkets nearby and I cooked my own dinner in the kitchen. It was an absolute delight to stay at Pirate Drake bay hostel.
