For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
Very beautiful surroundings, great tents with all facilities and a very friendly and helpful staff.
The naturalists are very knowledgeable and the safari was amazing with comfortable jeeps.
Strategic location for Wilpattu National Park. It's literally 2 minutes by walk to the gate. Susil organised tours for us and we absolutely loved every single minute. We were very lucky to spot leopards and countless wildlife. We will stay here again when we come back to Sri Lanka. Lifetime memory.
Rooms are basic but has good AC and hot shower. Foods were yummy. that's all we wanted. Thanks Susil!
This place is all about it's people. Roshan and his family go above and beyond to make your stay special. The food, all locally sourced and home made, is an experience in itself. Roshan also arranged the Safari for us, with a very experienced driver. Sandmal, our driver is very good at spotting animals. We saw leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and many other animals and birds during our full day Safari. Do take a quick walk down to the secret tranquil lake for an amazing sunset view.
It was really fun and lovely to be staying in a treehouse and being able to listen to and see the wildlife from our balcony. The hotel was also located right next to the national park which was very convenient. The food was also very tasty and the bed had a good mosquito net.
Villages and wilderness in the surroundings. Great sense of being in the wild even though it’s not located in Wilpattu NP. Staff were amazing and knowledgeable about the wildlife.
The evening dinner was a great experience under the stars with excellent waiters serving a nice dinner .
Seeing the Wildlife on safari was a great experience and the wide range of birds , butterflies and some rare animals like the Loris.
We also enjoyed the traditional cookery demonstration.
Camping was much more comfortable than usual and we didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes.
Organisation was great and catered well for vegans in our family.
It is very close to the entrance to the park.
Very welcoming and kind hosts, couldn't do more to make our stay just perfect. We went on a safari with Susil, we did see plenty of animals including a leopard. Susil is brilliant at spotting willd life when orhers just drive by. The room was small but very clean and comfortable with a mosquito net and air conditioning. Their little daughter Divina is just beautiful.
We had me of the best sleeps there during our whole stay in Sri Lanka!
They have really comfy glamping tents and huge outdoor bathrooms.
The safari was THE BEST and one of the biologists who runs the lodge accompanied us and told us so much about the wildlife.
Comfortable glamping tents in beautiful surroundings close to Wilpattu National Park. We booked a package with a half-day safari and dinner and were not disappointed. We spotted a leopard and a bear, but that takes some luck as the vegetation is quite dense. We were upgraded to luxury tents as we were the only guests.
