The wardens were amazing, and the site was clean and peaceful. Someone had messed up, though, as the site should have been closed for the winter, and we shouldn't have been able to book it. But the guys looking after the site still took us in and made sure we had everything that we needed and were comfy.
We had the place to ourselves and it was wonderful.
Set just 14 km from Longleat Safari Park, Glamping on the Hill offers accommodation in Mells with access to a garden, a bar, as well as luggage storage space.

For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Home from home atmosphere, private shower and toilet for yurt was very clean and well designed. Great cooking facilities and lots of linen provided. Beautiful surroundings, owners quick to respond to messages.
Yurt holds heat very well, we never needed to light the fire. Good location for longleat safari Park. Several supermarkets available just a short drive away.
This was the most amazing , cute , clean and well equipped yurt . We stayed one night and went to longleat safari for my boys 5th birthday. We had so much fun and no I pads or iPhones in suite ! We all slept so well and cannot wait to come back ! The ladies running where so lovely an happy to help in any way they could . What a little gem this place is ! A absolute must if you fancy a get away from the hustle and bustle of city life .
Stunning location, very magical at night with all the fairy lights etc. Loved seeing the pheasants and chickens in the morning and hearing the wildlife at night.
