The pousada is set in beautiful wild gardens with a stream you can hear trickling by. The bedroom was one of the nicest they have which was given to us as we were on honeymoon albeit with a wider group of friends too. The guy at reception was very helpful, arranged us transportation, spoke perfect english and was super responsive by text. There is a fridge in the room and the bed and pillows were comfy. You can use the communal kitchen area. The Terrace outside the room has a hammock and space to air laundry.

Staff - the most helpful, warm and attentive I've met in a long time! Room View - gorgeous and the hammock was a lovely surprise Food - Breakfast was tasty and although there wasn't a bar there was afternoon tea/cake (better in my opinion!) Room - lovely, spacious, and clean. No wardrobe or place to hang clothes though (in the room I was given at least. There were shelves and plenty of baggage storage space).

Absolutely fantastic breakfast. We were offered fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee, tea, cakes and a choice of eggs, omelette or tapioca. And sat out on the veranda with a wonderful view of the sea.

The staff are amazing, the breakfast lovely and the place beautiful, full of plants, fruit trees, monkeys and colibris. We absolutely recommend it! They also provided a travel cot with mosquito net, which was really helpful!

Beautiful place, beautiful view, lovely breakfast every morning, cute little touches everywhere, friendly staff. The hammock was so comfortable, the mosquito net was reassuring even though there were no mosquitoes when I stayed (in July.) They clean every day, too! Not necessary, but appreciated :)

The hotel is set in a beautiful garden. Rooms are clean and comfortable. There are chairs and hammocks to relax in. Mattress was firm, but that depends on preference. Bed linen and towels were clean and fresh. The staff were wonderful, giving excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. There is an uphill walk to the hotel, but it isn't far. Breakfast was brilliant: a variety of fresh options to be eaten in a lovely veranda area from which you can see birds and flowers.

Aratinga Inn exceed our expectations in every aspect! Rennie was so welcoming and friendly and really made us feel at home. We were upgraded to a cabana and it was beautiful, with a lovely hammock on the veranda. The food was excellent and the afternoon tea was a lovely extra to come back to after a day hiking!

If I could give this place 11/10 I would! Possibly the most beautiful hostel in Ilha Grande, up the hill, with wooden chalets in a leafy jungle garden. Warm family atmosphere, delicious breakfast buffet including fruit, eggs and homemade cake served on lovely tableware. Dorms and rooms are spacious and serviced every day. A great place to chill out during the day if you want to stay home - big shady verandah with hammocks. Common kitchen is the cleanest I've seen in any hostel. I ended up staying a week, as it was so hard to leave!
