A good location for a relaxing stay in Bidiyah, Milky Way Domes is a campground surrounded by views of the garden. The Location is amazing, the Staff and owner even better. 10/10 would highly recommend. Breakfast was great, dinner buffet was good. They offer tours and activities but don’t push you to buy anything. Great experience in an amazing environment.

Wonderful traditional camp. Amazing staff with a great heart and discussions. Nice dinner and breakfast. They take time to explain the history of Oman and they propose several activities. Everything is very clean and the view is amazing.

Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Rashid and his brother Mohammed make you feel like at home. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner were excellent! The tours offered by Rashid are fantastic. Look no further, this is the perfect place for a stay in the desert!

Starry Domes Desert Camp offers air-conditioned accommodation in Bidiyah. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Rooms have a patio. Perfect location on top of the dune. Large space between domes, giving total privacy. Small number of domes makes it feel more special and not the kind of resort style. The room was very comfortable! Simply amazing experience.

Situated in Bidiyah, SandGlass Camp features accommodation with seating area. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. First and foremost thing to mention is the host Said brother is really a very humble and funny person...He will make the trip memorable. His hospitality is best we ever received anywhere else. The location is isolated and awesome. Camp, toilet, dining area is clean.

Arabian Nights Resort & Spa features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, a terrace and bar in Shāhiq. The resort also offers free WiFi and free private parking. They were very friendly during check-in. Separate from the resort, I had hired a private driver who attempted to extort me. Luckily I escaped the situation and a driver from the resort picked me up. Still, the driver continued to contact me asking for money and threatening to call the police. He even called the hotel several times. After explaining the situation the hotel staff were very understanding and helped to ward him off. Long story short, the staff will make you feel safe here! Anyway, they offer a range of fun cultural and physical activities to try. I did the Bedouin house tour, Sunset drive, Sand Boarding (highly recommend, good fun), and Camel ride. The food at the restaurant is good and portions are generous. The pool was nice and I wish I used it more.

From the moment we arrived we were treated to Omani hospitality at its very best. The thrill of driving over the sandunes to the camp and on arrival being served with hot/cold beverages along with dates, fruit and nuts. Our host Hammed is a charming man and delighted to give us insight into the traditions and history of desert living but also to melt away and allow us to enjoy our surroundings. Nothing was too much trouble even when on the morning of our departure we had a flat tyre. Everything was sorted for us. The tents were airy, with warm comfortable beds and beautifully decorated in a traditional manner. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and well maintained including the onsite facilities which included a cold! morning shower. As our dinner was prepared we watched the sun set over the sandunes. The food was plentiful (too much to eat), beautifully served and a dazzling array of different dishes served at both breakfast and dinner. After dinner we relaxed by the camp fire stargazing enjoying more tea/coffee, dates fruit and nuts while enjoying the stillness of the desert at night.
