This was my first time staying at a hostel and I was hesitant to do it, but the service was incredible and I did not feel much difference compared to hotels. Very clean rooms and restrooms. Staff is super friendly and humble. Breakfast was fresh and very tasty with so many varieties. Location is great for anyone visiting Salvador, Bahia. I met people from all over the world, including Europe, North America, South America. I had an unexpected incident during my travel and the hostel staff including the owner (Olivier) were super helpful and assisted me in every way possible. Definitely coming back if I visit Salvador again.

In the heart of Morro de São Paulo village, Che Lagarto hostel offers bright rooms and colourful facilities near beaches, shops and restaurants. Accommodation includes free WiFi. a very cool place to stay and meet people from around the world. They offer a great breakfast and you can get a table to work if you need.

Casa Baiana Pousada & Aconchego ligger i Trancoso och erbjuder en utomhuspool, en trädgård, en gemensam lounge och en bar. A delicious fresh breakfast was served every morning - the staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful and hardworking. The pousada is away from the main centre about a 5 min walk in a quiet neighbourhood of other pousadas. There is a large pool and views to the forest and sea beyond and occasional monkeys jumping around! The place was just lovely and we would like to return the next time we get to travel to Trancoso.

Topázio Pousada ligger i Morro de São Paulo, en kort bit från Aureliano Lima Square och 7 minuters promenad från Morro de Sao Paulo Lighthouse. Very clean and chic. The staff was awesome. Breakfast superb, so many things I couldn't choose from. Coffee machine at reception.

Pousada Estrelar ligger i Lençóis, inom 29 km från Pai Inacio Mountain. Här erbjuds gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. Boendet har rumsservice och kan även ordna med valutaväxling. The guesthouse is a short walk up a slight hill from the bus station, but it’s well worth the effort. Alternatively, you can take a local taxi for convenience. If you’re traveling with wheeled luggage, be aware that the cobblestone streets may make the walk a bit tricky. Also, watch out for traffic, as there are no road markings. Our room was lovely, featuring double-aspect windows with a fantastic view. It was spotless and felt very new. One minor drawback is that the windows are actually shutters, not glass, so some outside noise does filter in. However, since the guesthouse is on the edge of town, the noise wasn’t too disruptive. This design is due to the building’s listed or historical status, which adds to its charm. The manager was very friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, providing a good start to the day. Being on the edge of town, the guesthouse is a bit of a walk from the bus station, but it’s conveniently close to natural pools and local hiking trails. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops just a few minutes’ walk downhill. I would definitely stay here again.

The rooms have nice details and are rather modern. The staff, especially Patrick, was super helpful with any questions we had. Would definitively come back!
