Nice house which was equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great air conditioning, which was essential in the very hot weather.
Lots of things like milk, coffee, butter cakes etc left for guests, which was very welcome.

Christina and Antonio were wonderfully friendly and helpful.
Sweet grapes and oranges, onions and tomatoes were all provided. There are 2 kitchens. One in the unit with a microwave, fridge, sink, juicer, pod coffee and 4 stools around a bench. There is also a full kitchen with stove top and oven and BBQ, large tables, cooking utensils, vinegar, oil, jams.
In the unit there is a large comfortable double bed, a single bed, a large wardrobe, a double sofa and a tv. There is a separate room with a single bed and a fan. It was cool and quiet there for my son. There is a good size bathroom with a toilet and excellent shower, off the main room.
The whole unit was cool even in the heat of the day. I spent most of the day by the pool in the shade of the vines with sweeping views of the beautiful Douro Valley with a book in hand.
The modern LBV House Hotel is inserted in the center of the Alto Douro wine region.

The location was really good, really near the train station and shops. The house was spotless and the host had even left Bread, ham,cheese, butter, jam, orange juice and milk for us! The bed was so comfy and the Air conditioning was a nice bonus. The shower was warm and had good pressure. We really enjoyed out stay here. Pedro the hsit was exceptional. He was so good at communicating with us and sent us so much information on the town and things to do.
This apartment was very clean and well stocked with little essentials and snacks in the kitchen. Location was perfect and a beautiful little sitting area right outside the front door. We were only there for 1 night but it was perfect.
The guest house was in a perfect location and was very stylish. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was ok. Parking was a huge bonus. Views from the house were wonderful. Its an easy walk to town for restaurants and boat trips.
Bruno has a vinyard and makes delicious wines. Definitely worth trying while relaxing in the lounge.

In Douro Backpackers you feel that the staff has had all the experiences of backpacking themselves and turned it into the very best practice you can imagine. We felt more than welcome from the very moment we opened the door until the heartfelt goodbye. It is the perfect location to meet up with other travellers, the roofterrace and the breakfastroom are ideal spots for this purpose. We never in our whole lifes (which are pretty long, with lots of travelling) have never come across a place like this. Go there and see for yourselves!
The location is good. If you have a large group, and you're not concerned about aesthetics, and have a very small budget, then this is suitable. The terraces were a plus.
We stayed on the ground floor, and were pleasantly surprised by the size, and presentation of our room. The view from our 'terrace', the 'pool' and the breakfast room was beautiful - probably the nicest in all of Pinhao! The location is also ideal if you don't mind a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Pinhao - although I wouldn't recommend the route for young families as the start of the walk is along the roadside. There is also a gorgeous HUGE dog who lives on site - a gentle giant :)
