Lovely little house with lots of thoughtful extras such as milk, water, butter, biscuits, cakes etc. Very good attention to detail - the hairdryer broke in the evening and the next day it was replaced.

Everything. Antonio was such a lovely guy, and he made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was very clean, well stocked, and we especially appreciated the fresh oranges and juicer provided. Best OJ ever! Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa da FÁ 2. The location is very good, right on the main street of Pinhão, so only a few meters away from the supermarket and nearest restaurants. Despite of that, the upper apartment we were in, was oriented away from the road, facing the calmer side with a beautiful view of the river. There was a small table with chairs on the little terrace, where we could enjoy wine with the lovely scenery. The interior of the apartment is newly rebuilt, very well designed and decorated. The apartment was perfectly clean, and the beds were very comfortable. In the fully furnished kitchen, we could use beautifully decorated plates and cups. As a welcome gift we got a bottle of home port wine. The communication with the landlord was very quick and we got always help and answers if we needed anything. The whole house has its own history and character, which made our stay even more special. We would definitely stay at this place again in the future. Thank you for a memorable experience.

The location was really good, really near the train station and shops. The house was spotless and the host had even left Bread, ham,cheese, butter, jam, orange juice and milk for us! The bed was so comfy and the Air conditioning was a nice bonus. The shower was warm and had good pressure. We really enjoyed out stay here. Pedro the hsit was exceptional. He was so good at communicating with us and sent us so much information on the town and things to do.
This apartment was very clean and well stocked with little essentials and snacks in the kitchen. Location was perfect and a beautiful little sitting area right outside the front door. We were only there for 1 night but it was perfect.
The guest house was in a perfect location and was very stylish. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and very clean. Breakfast was ok. Parking was a huge bonus. Views from the house were wonderful. Its an easy walk to town for restaurants and boat trips.
Bruno has a vinyard and makes delicious wines. Definitely worth trying while relaxing in the lounge.

In Douro Backpackers you feel that the staff has had all the experiences of backpacking themselves and turned it into the very best practice you can imagine. We felt more than welcome from the very moment we opened the door until the heartfelt goodbye. It is the perfect location to meet up with other travellers, the roofterrace and the breakfastroom are ideal spots for this purpose. We never in our whole lifes (which are pretty long, with lots of travelling) have never come across a place like this. Go there and see for yourselves!
The location is good. If you have a large group, and you're not concerned about aesthetics, and have a very small budget, then this is suitable. The terraces were a plus.
We stayed on the ground floor, and were pleasantly surprised by the size, and presentation of our room. The view from our 'terrace', the 'pool' and the breakfast room was beautiful - probably the nicest in all of Pinhao! The location is also ideal if you don't mind a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of Pinhao - although I wouldn't recommend the route for young families as the start of the walk is along the roadside. There is also a gorgeous HUGE dog who lives on site - a gentle giant :)
