The place, its location and views are fabulous. Manuela went out of her way to welcome us and once again, we felt like home in our Douro valley trip. Also our dog Luna felt super relaxed in this place. We had morning rural walks with the view of Freixo de Espada a Cinta village and they enjoyed great breakfast Manuela prepared for us. Couldn't have asked for a better ending of our Douro trip.

Beautiful location, lovely house and pool. Dinner cooked for us at a time convenient to us and food lovely and plentiful. Have already recommended to friends.
We absolutely loved the location ! But what made the difference on the last leg of our trip was the exceptional service from the whole staff. Whether it was the front desk for suggestions of what to visit- or the very attentive and helpful restaurant staff, everyone was extremely nice!
The vew from the hotel over the city and surroundings is great. It is worth to pay a little more to have pool view which actually means view of the city. Breakfast was okay but coffee is not the best. Fantastic staff, really nice and helpful. The hotel has a indoor pool and an outdoor pool (this one was being clean but not problem since it is not yet so warm as feeling like going to the pool). We were happy to find such a nice hotel in this location. We will be back and we highly recommend it.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer. The house has an exceptional location with a very nice view. Also the facilities are very good and the room is very clean and also cleaned every day. The breakfast was excellent - everything fresh and a lot of choice. Everything was constantly replenished. We had dinner 4 out of 5 nights and it was truly delicious. Marco is a very good meat-cook!
Manuela is very nice and helpful. In the area you can easily spend several days with hiking and sight seeing.
