This 4-star holiday park is a 10-minute drive from the Nürburgring race track. It features modern holiday homes, a bistro, a wellness area, a children's playground and a barbecue. Very peaceful and the backyard's scenery was great. The staff was very kind. Very good for a group stay if you are visiting the ring as a group.

The accommodations were excellent and it had all the necessities I needed for a comfortable stay. I was able to prepare any meal I decided on with the utensils and cooking ware that was provided. The be was very comfortable and the location was quiet in the evening which allowed me to get undisturbed rest. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that is seeking accommodations in this area.

Located in Mendig and only 3.3 km from Monastery Maria Laach, Basaltikum provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property was easy to find, host was very nice. Everything was in good and working condition, The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. We were only there for 1 night, so it was a bit of overkill for us, however, if you have a lengthy stay it would be a great option. It has a good-sized bedroom, kitchen, living room, and shower/bathroom. There was free wifi, with good speed, but the coverage dropped slightly in the living room. The TV channels are mainly in German, 1 English BBC, that I could find. Very nice garden. My wife heard a cat, unfortunately, we did not see the cat. The property backs up to a quarry, the Vulkan Brewery is maybe a 10 minute walk. A Rewe XL is in town, about a 15-minute walk or a very short drive. The windows open German style, so slightly ajar or all the way. Solid doors, everything was lockable. No safe, no fans, 2 different style coffee makers, microwave, stove, etc. (as a side note, - we normally use fragrance free laundry detergent, which I would recommend changing to in a hospitality environment)
