location was excellent for my purposes, restaurants near, shop very near. City center was within a nice walking distance. The hill nearby had a great view. The windows in this "penthouse" are only on the roof, so no windows on the walls. Very nice view from the windows, very private place since you couldn't see in from anywhere.

On The Way about 1km from the cathedral. A pleasant area of town, almost village like (lovely little old church just above it). Very helpful staff. Comfortable beds and a great shower.
Location! Location! Location!! My husband and I walked the Camino Portuguese. The door to the Cathedral is just steps away! Also, if you are shipping camino related items to Casa Ivar, his store is a short walk as well. The hotel staff was awesome and able to provide recommendations for food, getting to the train station, providing breakfast... they are truly what make Rua Villar special.
It is a cozy hostel near Santiago (20 min bus), 5 min from the airport, small village. The room was great, super clean and with all that we needed. The host and staff were the nicest with us. We enjoyed a chat with them!

Located in the small village of San Marcos which really has very few amenities but close enough to Santiago de Compostela that we could walk into the city to complete our Camino Frances and still have time to get our Compostelas and attend mass at the Cathedral. Hotel was quiet and comfortable.
