Fantastic location, spacious room with good kitchenette facilities. Grocery options nearby if you want to self cater but surrounded by restaurants and bars if you don’t. Residence Kastanienbaum is a spacious one bedroom flat in a quiet neighbourhood ten minutes by car/bus from Lucerne. Both the bedroom and living room have a wonderful lake view (although we had pretty foggy weather all week). The kitchen is really well equipped and the welcome goodies are really tasty and much appreciated. There are two bathrooms: one with a bathtub, sink and washing machine/drier; the other with toilet, sink and shower. The extra bed in the living room was super comfortable as well. We stayed for a week in January and felt right at home. The Lucerne visitors card was very handy to take public transport to the shops and to visit Lucerne.

The staff are incredibly nice. The location is very good and it is very easy to get to the city center. The breakfast is amazing, the food is fresh (the bread is particularly amazing!), it definitely went above expectations. We booked the double room in the attic, so we had a private bathroom.
