Would definitely stay here again. I loved sleeping on the boat and looking out onto the canal. Quiet and peaceful yet a fairly short walk into central Ghent. Lovely outdoor deck area to have a beer. Delicious breakfast. There are only 5 rooms so we met most of the other guests and enjoyed chatting with them and the host, Sven. Also very clean.

We greatly appreciated that gesture and it was a fantastic breakfast we found out he normally offers anyone ... i would take it. We also appreciated the fact that he was not bothered by the fact that we needed his assistance when we first arrived because of some technical issues we had along our journey. We would highly recommend this location.

Host was very accommodating and helpful, and the breakfast was very tasty (and very conveniently brought to the door each morning).
The location was very central and next to the boat stations for canal tours. The restaurant was right beside the canal and food was excellent. Bie made us very welcome from the moment we arrived till the time we left.
The house boat was beautifully fitted out and decorated. It made an excellent base to explore Ghent, being close to the tram and also walking distance from the train station and city centre. It was so unusual to be on the river and be able to look out of portholes & sit on deck sipping wine! The owner was quick to replace the coffeemaker when it appeared not to be working and he was very helpful with recommendations for eating locally and getting the tram. My daughter & I had a lovely weekend!
Location could not possibly be better - canal-side in the middle of everything but still relatively quiet somehow. Easy stroll to all of the main sights. The canal boat tours (do it!) board a few feet away from the front door. Gorgeous large rooms, beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. Affordable compared to some other stays on this trip, for a hotel that felt truly premium.

Bed was super comfy. Sven was a great host and guide to Ghent. Breakfast was superb with lovely breads. We will return to Ghent and stay in boatel again!
The room and bathroom were bigger than I expected on a boat. The bed was very comfortable. The location was a bit away from the city center, but we could walk there within 10 minutes.
Good location - you can go to the center of the city by foot. Everything is clean and convenient. You can rent kayaks at sail along the channels straight from the Boat
Fun staying on a boat. Breakfast was very good. Bed comfortable. Much nicer than we expected. Very close to train station. Very clean. Captian Sven was a great host.
The room was comfortable and I enjoyed the idea of a small hotel on a boat. The boat hotel is situated close to Gent city center and it was a perfect base to discover the city for a short stay like mine. Breakfast was very good and rich both with salty and sweet food. Captain Sven takes good care of his guests, definitely recommended!
Excellent boat hotel and the owner is very helpful. Serve great breakfast too .
