Very good location, within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf and the pontoons where the boats depart to visit the bay and Alcatraz, a bike hire agency and a cable car terminus. Comfortable, clean hotel with friendly staff.

Friendly helpful staff, great location & views. Convenient for ferries, bicycle tour, alcatraz & 4th July boat trip. Peter in the restaurant was excellent & your doorman wearing the Pith helmet always greeting us.

Fantastic location. Staff very friendly. A tip….don’t buy anything from the SevenEleven (very expensive)…buy from Trader Joes supermarket 3 min walk from hotel. Very close to Pier 39 entertainment and boat to Alcatraz. Rooms very spacious.

Nice place, comfortable. The location is great, walking distance from Pier 39. IHOP is next door and there is a lot more restaurants around the area. Since is close to the Pier, u could easily get the boats to take the tour to the view the Golden Gate Bridge or Alcatraz

We loved the location..it was so convenient for picking up boat tours from the piers and for jumping on the hop off bus. The breakfast was amazing...with everything you could want - all nicely cooked and tasty. We especially liked the bar which was open in the evenings..with some great cocktails to help recover from your day of walking!

The location is great! Near Chinatown, some amazing bars and restaurants. Highly recommend Vesuvio bar, the Georgian Cheese Boat, and to visit China town and their festivals! The staff was patient and kind. They gave us a blanket and fan when we needed it. Easy check in. Good showers with hot water and great pressure. Sink was in our room very handy and they provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towel.

The location is fantastic - very close to the waterfront for the pier, sea lions, boat trips etc. The bus stop for a bus to the Golden Gate bridge was also super close round the corner. Lots of great restaurants nearby and in walking distance, plus a supermarket. S’mores by the fire pit was a lovely extra touch.

The hotel is beautifully located in Fisherman’s Wharf. It's only a few minutes' walk to Pier 39, and the boats to Alcatraz also leave nearby. Thanks to the online check-in, we were able to quickly move into our room, which to our delight also included a small dart board to play with. Breakfast was not included, but there were several options to eat near the hotel. We even received a marshmallow to grill in the courtyard.

Location of Riu plaza was great. A few minutes walk to pier 39 and pier 33 (Alcatraz boat boarding). The room was clean and provided sufficient facilities (towels, toiet paper, tissues, tea and coffee machine and a bar fridge). We were given a bottle of water each when we checked in. The buffet breakfast was nice.

Good location: close to Pier 33 (Alcatraz boat tour) and to the Powell Street cable car end point. Nice, helpful staff. Clean room and bathroom. Free coffee in the morning.
