I had a wonderful stay at Tashkand houseboat during winter season in January 2023.
Musa, the houseboat owner, is very helpful and provide very good service.
Dinner at Tashkand was our best dining in Kashmir as it's fresh meat, homemade, and no MSG. If you stay here I recommend trying 1 dining at his place.
The place is clean and tidy. There's towels and amenities provided. There s no heater in the bedroom but it's replaced with warmed electric blanket which works very well to keep you warm at night, especially in winter.
There are free shikara ride across to main road if you paid for shikara ride trip the first or second day. It's a special deal that the houseboat made with shikara riders so you will get the best deal and save money if you get shikara trip.
It was the memorable, affordable house boat price. I will definitely come back again.

One of the best location and view because it is the last houseboat in the series giving a very open view of the dal lake. All other house boats look into each other and there is no view at all
The location of the the house boat was just breathtaking. The view of mountains and the lake from the house boat was mesmerising. Our entire trip was wonderful. Danish bhai was very helpful and guided us throughout the trip. The houseboat was the cherry on the cake. The aesthetics of the houseboats were everything what we needed. Overall it was an amazing experience and would truly recommend to everyone.
Nothing we liked, it was our worst experience as Booking.com showed very good picture of Houseboat but it was worst, beyond imagination, a dead house boat with worst service. The Interior and exterior of the boat was pathetic.
Stay away from this houseboat - they were named heritage group of houseboats.
They are after your money, will even claim booking.com. commission amount they owe from custoemrs. They can make you stay in any of the available house boat rather than one in pics/reviews.
