Iowa House Historic Inn is situated in Ames, 1.2 km from Iowa State Center, and has a fitness centre. The property is located 1.5 km from Jack Trice Stadium. I was delighted to find that Iowa House was the same comfortable and accommodating place I've come to expect. Everything from the bed to the breakfast was excellent.

I was in a difficult situation with my itinerary and I was alone. I arrived very late at night but he helped giving me the door code and leaving the key room at the door. I was so very impressed by his trust and good service! Thank you very much for the great experience!

I loved that this is an old historic building with an interesting story. Robert , the owner, who is the only staff member is very interesting to talk to. He gave me a detailed history of the inn as well as Dubuque. The breakfast is amazing & exceptionally good coffee ( rare in America in my experience). Within walking distance of lots of sites, Monk bar which is good for a relaxed drink & close to restaurants. Easy parking
