Iowa House Historic Inn is situated in Ames, 1.2 km from Iowa State Center, and has a fitness centre. The property is located 1.5 km from Jack Trice Stadium. The hotel has a wonderful old-world ambience but has all the modern amenities. It is possibly the only hotel located inside the ISU campustown with everything conveniently reachable in walking distance. The rooms and bed are exceptionally clean and very comfortable, and the large windows provide wonderful views of the serene neighborhood. I also suspect that the hot breakfast served here (with eggs made to order) is possibly the best in Ames. Staff at the breakfast table are friendly and accommodating.

I was in a difficult situation with my itinerary and I was alone. I arrived very late at night but he helped giving me the door code and leaving the key room at the door. I was so very impressed by his trust and good service! Thank you very much for the great experience!
