Ideally located in Taichung, Norden Ruder Hostel Taichung offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. The best hostel I've ever stayed in! Absolutely beautiful. Loads of nice spots to sit and relax, and look out of the giant windows at a view of the city. The room was lovely and felt brand new. Even though I was sharing a backpackers room it feels like you have your own!

In a prime location in the North District district of Taichung, 一中宿屋 is situated 3.5 km from National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, 3.6 km from Kuangsan SOGO Dept. Extremely friendly and very helpful and competent staff who are very responsive via LINE app. English is not offered among languages but due to translation apps this is not an issue. The rooms are not posh but clean and very cozy with good, fast & free WiFi, the location is great with many restaurants, shops, malls, a market and lots of convenience stores in the immediate surroundings. Note: There is no breakfast but a due to many convenience stores, shops, restaurants, market etc. in the surroundings so this should not be a problem. Also there is no room service but bottled water, tea, toiletries etc. are provided and also equipment to clean the room yourself which I prefer that way anyways. Other info: as others noted there is no reception, but at my stay that was not an issue, I sent a message via LINE app from FamilyMart (they have free WiFi) close to the hotel and was picked up and guided to my room immediately. Advice: Have a local SIM ready for your travel in Taiwan. It helps a lot and makes travel and communication a lot easier.

WT BnB Taichung has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Houli, 21 km from Fengjia Night Market. Featuring a garden, the property is located within 24 km of Kuangsan SOGO... Very friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and comfy. We ordered chicken burgers for breakfast and received shrimp-my friend is allergic! Luckily we noticed it and she could spit it out. Otherwise I would definitely recommend the place.

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The apartments were spacious and fit us (3 people) perfectly. They provide you with towels and some toiletries (you have to choose which at check in). It was a quiet area but you can easily get to bars and restaurants nearby (we took Ubers). Free laundry room.

Ideally situated in Taichung, Green Hotel - Midori features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Very good location and bathroom facilities for the price. Comfortable bed and everything I needed for a short stay.

Ideally set in Taichung, Hotel Huru House offers an à la carte breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was perfect. Room and lobby were very clean. A very comfortable place to stay.
