Set in Dutovlje, within 19 km of Trieste Train Station and 20 km of Piazza Unità d'Italia, G House offers accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool as well as free private parking for guests... We loved our stay at G House. It was in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings (winery, pool). The room was very comfortable. We really enjoyed interacting with the staff. They were very kind and always available to answer any questions and had many recommendations. The breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed doing their wine tasting as well.

Set within 8.5 km of The Škocjan Caves and 16 km of San Giusto Castle, Casa Krasna Gourmet Boutique Hotel offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Lokev. This really is a boutique hotel and is located in the quiet village of Lokev, but close to Trieste and to the Škocjan Caves, which was our primary destination. Lokev is small and quiet, but close to Divača where there is a train station and other services. The owners, Dajana and Boris, are two of the most delightful hosts we have ever met. And the chef prepares gourmet dinners that are a true highlight. The facility was well designed and spotless. The beds were really great and the bath was superb.

The Apolonija Guest House is truly a great accommodation! We stayed for two nights because it’s quite close to Trieste, which we visited. It’s a family owned house and the host was very friendly and gratuitous. She welcomed us with a smile on her face and prepared a delicious breakfast for us. The house itself is very esthetically pleasing with a lot of attention to details. The room itself was clean and beautiful and the bed was comfortable. There is free parking right at the property. Overall it gave a very Tuscan vibe:)

Located within 20 km of Miramare Castle and 23 km of Trieste Train Station in Komen, Gostilna in pizzeria Pri Brajdi provides accommodation with seating area. Everything was amazing. Great place for rest, very quiet. The struff was very kind, friendly, always have smile on the face, very good people. It is small place and you have everything you need. Only good words for this place. It was very clean and new. They have also food and drink. I would strongly recommend this place if you would like rest or to visit Slovenia in this region or if you need to stay for a couple of days of you have a jon here. Very good price for this excellent service.

Set within 26 km of Trieste Train Station and 27 km of Piazza Unità d'Italia, Vila Salamander offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Štanjel. Vila Salamander is a pleasant accommodation located in a beautiful environment. It is a beautiful house with private parking. Although the room was smaller, it was comfortably furnished with lots of nice details. The bathroom was not part of the room, but it was private and large :) We also had two dogs with us, which were welcome in the villa. The kitchen was shared but very well furnished. It had everything we needed. We felt at home. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Offering a garden and garden view, Krasen Kras Apartment is situated in Komen, 17 km from Miramare Castle and 20 km from Trieste Train Station. We stayed in the apartment with two rooms. The self check in was operated through a key box at the house entrance and the code is given during the arrival day, which is comfortable in terms of arriving time, but we didn't meet the owner at all. The apartment has everything you need for your stay. Bed linen and towels are provided. In the kitchen there were also oil, salt, pepper and soap for dishes. There is the oven which is useful to cook. In the bathroom there was body shower gel. There is a washing machine, but we didn't use it, so no review about it. The private garden is down the stair, near the parking spot and is furnished with barbecue area and a table. The house is very quite and we had no problem because of noise from the outside. Air conditioning is available too. The single room is little, but comfy. An advice for the one sleeping in the single room is to close the bathroom's door to avoid it's little noise and the entrance of light. The double room is very spacious and silent. We didn't use the sofa bed in the living room because we were three. I would recommend it.

Toncevi Eco Estate provides a sauna and spa facilities, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Branik, 28 km from Miramare Castle. The entire property is located in a very nice place, and the environment is peaceful. The room was very clean, air condition worked perfectly. The swimming pool was great and the kids enjoyed a lot. The restaurant was more than fine, the food quality and quantity was just perfect. The hosts were very kind, explained on a detailed way all that we needed to know. All of us enjoyed our stay!
