It is not far to places like Leksand, Rattvik (great Hemslojd store with a "museum" of older folk dresses upstairs), Nusnas, Mora (Anders and Emma Zorn home), Falun (Carl and Karin Larsson home), and the like. It is very nice to walk over to the Gagnef church and the floating bridge. The staff was wonderful and helpful! We had a great stay and would love to come back!

Located in Särnaheden in the Dalarna region, Knappgården is peacefully located amongst nature and ski areas. Free WiFi access and free private parking are available. Very cozy accommodation with a little rustic charme. Beautifully located in the countryside with an exceptional view into the valley. The hosts Annika and Kjelle will give a very warm welcome and will take very good care of you. I absolutely recommend getting dinner at Knappgården - so delicious! Breakfast is was nothing shy of luxurious! Clean and cozy rooms, parking right next to the buildings!

Offering a barbecue and children's playground, Olsbacka Gård is situated in Falun in the Dalarna Region. Free private parking is available on site, and free WiFi is offered throughout Olsbacka Gård. It’s clean, it’s comfortable and it’s absolutely incredible value for money, but the biggest thing is just how spectacularly beautiful it is. And Elisabeth and Per-Erik are fabulous hosts, so welcoming, accommodating, warm and funny. Chatting with Per-Erik when we arrived and with Elisabeth in the morning over our fantastic Swedish breakfast in the gorgeous dining room were real highlights of a great stay. It’s hard to describe just how beautiful and comfortable this property is. We stayed one night and we were sad to leave.

This B&B is by Lake Noren in Nornäs, 22 km from the ski slopes of Näsfjället. Facilities include a sauna and BBQ. Dog sledding, snowmobile rentals and nature safaris can be arranged. A room very confortable and the view on the lake is amazing, very recomended!!

This family-run B&B is in Vikarbyn, by Lake Siljan in the Dalarna Region. Rooms and cottages here share a fully equipped guest kitchen and free private parking. Rättvik is 7 km away. A classic Swedish cottage in the heart of Sweden hosted by the kindest couple. Marie’s breakfast in the morning was unbelievably delicious. What a wonderful treat it was for us to stay there.
