Our third-floor room (Cidreira) was clean and spacious, with sound-dampening panels on the shutters to minimize street noise. The antique pharmacy that served as the lobby was a very charming spot to enjoy the complimentary coffee, tea, fruit and muffins. Since the hotel is largely self-service, we could arrive and depart when it suited us, and we availed ourselves of their convenient luggage storage after checkout. While the lobby isn't constantly staffed, we met two staff members during our visit and both were very pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we return to Coimbra.

Best stay in Portugal, the location was amazing. The scenery is unmatched and the staff were extremely helpful. The place looked even better than the pictures posted, was absolutely delighted with this stay. Of course you need a car but was a 6min drive to the city centre, loads to do and see in the city centre although the university you have to get tickets for everything and the times weren’t ideal. So I’d advice booking in advance.

The staff is absolutely incredible, they were so accommodating! We got a welcome drink upon arrival and when at checkout they gave us a little snack for the road. The included breakfast is an absolute feast as well and it comes in an adorable little picnic basket. The room is very cozy and comfortable, and we were thrilled there was a jacuzzi.
