Elvas the Queen Residence is set in Elvas, within 20 km of Badajoz Fortress and 200 metres of Municipal Library of Elvas. My host Richard was fabulous. He took the time to show me where to park my car in the complex old city streets, actually accompanying me and then walking me back to his immaculate place. He was charming, knowledgeable and made the whole stay perfect. Cannot recommend this place enough, and at the price, the best lodging experience in my entire travel in Portugal.

Offering free WiFi access and a flat-screen TV in each private room, Alojamentos Vitinho - Vila Nova Milfontes is located in Vila Nova de Milfontes, 800 metres from the centre. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Love the room just wish we had more chance to use the patio (couldn’t this time because of the weather). Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Set just 34 km from Santiago do Cacém Municipal Museum, Mama Adama - Alpaca Farm & Hotel offers accommodation in Grândola with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a shared kitchen. The property is vast and beautiful. You can hike around and explore the cork trees and animals wandering around. There is a big pool with warm salt water. We liked the room as well as the breakfast. But the best thing are the owners and their alpacas. Sadly the alpacas were too big to get them into our car and take them home :D

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of pool, Casa Az-Zagal - by Unlock Hotels is a recently renovated guest house set in Casa Branca, 25 km from Statue of Queen Saint Elizabeth. First of all the staff was extremely kind and polite, they do the atmost to let you feel welcome. Everyone with a smile! The Hotel is beautifully furnished, very stylish. Everything is spotless clean and well taken care of. We can recommend the Hotel to everyone who is searching for great time off in the Alentejo.

Set in Ferreira do Alentejo, in a historic building, 48 km from Flour Museum, SOLAR DOS FRADES is a recently renovated guest house with an outdoor swimming pool and spa and wellness centre. Was very positively impressed with Solar dos Frades. The room was wonderful modern and spacious, as was the bathroom. Inês the host was extremely helpful and available at any time, other staff also very nice. The outside pool and jacuzzi space is amazing, just sorry I hadnt more time to stay.
