Wonderful breakfast each day and good conversation with owners and other guests. Kayaks were very fun and snorkeling by the house was an added bonus.

Set in Big Creek, 50 metres from Y Griega and 1.1 km from Istmito, Sol y Sombra offers accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. Richard (the owner) was really nice and helpful. Always with a smile, he helped us plan our time in bocas del toro, explained about the transportation, local reccomandations etc.

Beautiful location on the water and still within walking distance from the town. Very comfortable bed and linens. Amazing breakfast prepared daily! Hosts were super helpful if you needed any assistance. Amazing that they offered the use of bikes and kayaks to make your stay more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious and good variety. Brian’s knowledge of the forest made our hikes so interesting. We saw sloths, monkeys and also dolphins all on a from their beautiful property.I loved all the different areas where you could relax with nice comfy furniture. The bed was also very comfortable.
