Breakfast was wonderful as well.

Fantastic hosts, very welcoming. Made an extra effort to get me a meal since I was exhausted from a long bike ride. Beautiful historic place, great views, happy customer!

Leigh was an exceptional host. Wonderfully unique accommodation set in beautiful gardens. Felt like we were staying with a friend. If we ever manage back to this part of New Zealand we will stay for longer.

Offering free WiFi and set on the bank of a stream, Chalet Karaka offers accommodation 3 minutes' drive from Takaka village in Golden Bay. Chalet Karaka was absolutely delightful - a hidden gem, tucked away in a beautiful, tranquil bushy setting with a small picturesque stream running at the bottom of the garden. The shower was fantastic - excellent pressure with a lovely glass side looking out onto the private garden and stream. The room was spacious and well appointed and the icing on the cake was the generous outdoor undercover living area/deck complete with a Weber for all your barbecue requirements. Ngairie, our host, was friendly, welcoming and very helpful.

Featuring barbecue facilities, Redwood Valley B & B is located in Richmond. This property provides both free WiFi and private parking free of charge. Beautiful accomodation. Maria was an amazing host. She really made us feel comfortable. Fabulous hospitality and a super breakfast. You just have to stay here.

Waitapu Springs B&B is set in Takaka and offers a spa and wellness centre and a shared lounge. This 3-star bed and breakfast features a spa experience, with its sauna and hot tub. This one is a special gem- not only good facilities, but charming and a joy to visit. Would choose to stay here anytime we are in the area and they have availability.

Shady Rest Bed & Breakfast provides a garden, as well as accommodation with a kitchen in Takaka. The property features mountain and garden views. Location of accommodation was very easy to find and central to what was needed. Communication was prompt and professional and arrived to an upgraded room with a log fire which was started prior to arrival. Everything was really nice, so was breakfast. What wonderful staff, very friendly and accommodating. Very happy.

Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts offer two different accommodation types and is located between Richmond and Mapua on the road to the Abel Tasman National Park. The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Set amongst 4 acres of gardens, Murchison Lodge offers free breakfast and free Wi-Fi internet access. Wonderful stay at the Murchison Lodge. Lodge was lovely and cosy and the breakfast superb. Thank you Philip for your hospitality.
