Located in Mt Eden, The Grange is a unique 1880's villa featuring free WiFi and secure parking. Mt Eden Village is a 10 minute walk away and features trendy restaurants, cafes and bars. What we got valuable extra was the nice chatting with the owners. My very first experience with the locals. They also provided us with useful information about Auckland and NZ. The villa is unique, like staying in a fairy tale for a bit.

The breakfast was excellent, pancakes for me, omelet and toast for my wife, with maple dyrup, jellies, and clotted cream. . The bathroom had a very large shower with soap/shampoo and excellent towels. The owner was very friendly and left work to check us in early - about 12:30. The bed was comfy and provided us a good nights sleep.
