The surrounding was amazing, calm and quiet. The house was big enough for a couple and it was really private. The owner of the house was really nice and cooperated in every possible way. The bed was really nice, the kitchen had everything we needed and the shower was really good as well. It was really easy that we could park the car next to the house.

We stayed at the due ensuite. We had an amazing time. Everything was spotless and VERY welcoming. Contrary to previous reviews I have read, the landlady didn't crowd our breakfast times at all and made sure she was going to the garden to water the plants or doing things next door. She has been very helpful every time we needed to ask her for advice and I truly recommend that you go there. The location is amazing as it is only ten minutes from the lovely windmills. You can easily park in the street or on the supermarket free carpark opposite the road. On her advice, we took the car to the krommieren Assendelft park and ride carpark and hopped on the train to Assendelft for 20 euros for a day return for the two of us. Trains run from 6am to 2 am. The ride lasts a bit less than 30 minutes. Thanks for everything Cynthia!

The breakfast was simply amazing (especially the apple pancakes) and there is plenty of room. The place is really easy to find and we felt so secure with the gated home for privacy. The bed was comfortable and we liked that the streaming services were already in place for our use. It was worth the drive to stay at this beautiful home.

The apartment locates in a central, but quiet pedestrian street, all the main sites are in the walking distance. The host - Robert- was very kind, he met us at the corner of the street, helped with the luggage, told about the history of the building, that is a historical monument. The breakfast, that was very good, was served for us In the morning.

We booked during kermis, so we had noise from the outside, but had nothing to do with the nice room we had and the amazing staff.

The entire situation, from the quaintness of the loction to the idyllic setting on the canal exceeded our expectations immensely. David, our host, was concerned and attentive to our every need and was very helpful with suggestions only a local can offer. The room was perfect for our needs and the location is unbeatable if you love to stroll around Amsterdam on foot and take in the sights and sounds and wonderful charachter of this beautiful city. The Canal Room is quiet, peaceful, and delightfully calming after a long flight. We had a wonderful time and will happily do that again if the opportunity arises.
