Clean and well maintained, in a safe area, well run, pool, comfy rooms. Mostly a business crowd and regulars, which speaks for the experience. But what makes the place special is the hosts. They know when to chat and make one feel welcome, and when to stay in the background to let guests enjoy their stay. Their staff are well trained and always cheerful. Renette's restaurant recommendations were top notch - not a bad meal while we stayed in town. When we left for our inland trip they even provided us with a well-stocked ice box. We are not normally making aquaintances on vacation. But with these two? One simply wants to stay in touch. Thank you both for your warm hospitality! Until we meet again.

Maison Ambre Guesthouse is located on the eastern slopes of Luxury Hill, less than 2 km from Windhoek’s city centre. It features a swimming pool and offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Breakfast was nice, salty and sweet. Good coffee options and everything in place when I needed it. The staff super friendly and our host superb.

It’s a lovely room, extremely clean and well decorated, and strategically placed next to the highway/a mall to do groceries before taking the road. Makkie is very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this place !
