The beach is very nice and only few steps away, and there is plenty of restaurants and shops around for every need. Btw, I want the same hair dryer like the one in the room (I think it was Dyson! ;) )

The area around is very crowded but we never got bothered by the noises of the nightlife (earplugs are provided in that case)

I stayed in two guesthouse in penang and I wish I could have stayed here for the whole trip. The place is quiet and clean. I had very good sleep there and the host trusts guest's independence, with clear instructions but not restrictions so I feel like at home. The staff (basically the cats) are so friendly. I could stay there and be with them whole day. The duck meat eatery next door is popular among locals and full of people in the morning. A must try. The free bicycle is a plus.

The room is big, clean, pillows and mattress are comfortable. The shared bathrooms were always clean, shower gel and shampoo are provided. Located a bit away from the main streets but very quite and easy to walk around. The check-in and check-out were smooth and many information were provided to enjoy the stay.
