The host is just from another world. I arrived late (around 22h30) and even though he likes to wake up at 4h30, we kept talking for about half an hour. Then, he goes: "do you want me to show you around?" >> he went on giving me a guided kuching tour in his car. He even wanted to buy me a drink but no shops were open at midnight. Besides this, he would leave traditional sweets for breakfast every day. Legend!!

Located in Damai, Nanga Damai Homestay features a garden and terrace. Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge and a bar. Perfect little gem, we would go back anytime, the owners are so friendly and helpful, the outside area is amazing, you see monkeys from the terrace almost every day. We loved this place! Make sure you hire a car from Kuching, not only to get to Nanga Damai but also to explore the area, it's worth it and driving is easy, not much traffic at all. If you are fit and like hiking, Mount Santubong is waiting for you :) and the "Blue Pool" is a nice loop, as well. Kuching Wetlands by boat is fun and there's a lot more! ENJOY

Nastanitev Bike and Tours Bed and Breakfast se nahaja v mestu Lahad Datu in ponuja brezplačen WiFi, klimatsko napravo ter dostop do vrta s celoletnim zunanjim bazenom. We loved everything about Bikes & Tours Bed and Breakfast. The staff are exceptional and extremely friendly, the room was great, the accommodation generally is very stylish, the pool was perfect for relaxing in and the food - the food! - was the best we've had on our trip. Tisha clearly puts a lot of thought and care into the food and is obviously an expert in local gastronomy. Our dinner was absolutely outstanding (we're vegetarians, and this wasn't an issue at all, in case you're wondering!) and breakfast was too. We feel so lucky to have booked this place! Equally Simon and the team are involved in some really fascinating local, sustainable farming practices which we would've loved to have spoken more about if we had been there for longer. We were just stopping over in Lahad Datu for one night during a longer trip to Borneo. This was perfect for that but also would be great for a longer stay, we can imagine. 10/10, recommend!

Nastanitev Sukau Village View Stay & Backpackers je v mestu Sukau in ima razgled na vrt, brezplačen WiFi ter brezplačno zasebno parkirišče. one of the best accommodations I had on Borneo. Rooms were large, spacious and clean. Bed and breakfast were also fine. The highlight, however, was the friendliness of the hosts, especially the two sons. When the elephants were nearby, I was informed immediately and they went with me straight away. The boat tours (since I was there in December, these were even private tours) were very good and there was a lot of information about the animals. I can highly recommend this accommodation and the accommodation is much more personal than the resorts or large providers. I would come back immediately.

Nastanitev SPA Shalom Suites se nahaja v mestu Kota Kinabalu, 10 km od znamenitosti nakupovalni center Filipino Market Sabah, in ponuja vrt, sobe za nekadilce ter brezplačen WiFi. The room was tastefully decorated, the bed was really comfortable, the facilities were amazing (water filter, kettle, tea and coffee). I liked how I was able to control the lighting in the room and there was also a desk.

Nastanitev DA Family Mini Garden je v mestu Ranau in ponuja vrt. Uporabljate lahko brezplačen WiFi in brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, na voljo pa je tudi terasa. Very hearty family, took perfect care of us, drove us around for very good price and communicated very good and steady. Meals cooked by the mother were delicious. We could pet cats and dogs. It was I think the cleaniest accommodation in Sabah :) Dont hesitate to contact them even if they seem to be fully booked! They can send you more info on how to get there by bus from Kota Kinabalu.

Nastanitev 仙本那乐乐棒水屋 Larapan Water Village Semporna se nahaja v mestu Semporna. Vsak dan si lahko privoščite samopostrežni, azijski ali halal zajtrk. Nastanitev ponuja teraso za sončenje. Everything was exceptional and exceeded expectations from start to finish. Staff was proactive, communicative, informative and friendly. Punctuality was great throughout. Location and accommodations were fantastic. Food was amazing, staff was incredible on snorkeling and island tour outings. No negatives at all. Recommend 110% and would most definitely visit again.
