Dunisha not only runs a wonderfully positioned hotel (right beside a river with wild monkeys passing through each morning) but he cooks too! The food he made for us was personalised, creative and delicious. Very delicious! Our room was very comfortable and anything we wanted he was happy to provide. If we passed through the area again, we'd definitely stay there. Very affordable accommodation and cheap but exceptional dinner. Great value for money!

We decided to stop in at the Golden Residence to break up our trip to Kandy. The owner was great and very accomodating. Our rooms were very large and spotless and the tour of the hotel gardens was fun. We had to leave early and the had a huge and tasty breakfast spread ready to go for us. Best value and cleanest rooms we have had to date in Sri Lanka!!

Incredible hosts who were attentive and super friendly. Beautiful building and amenities, especially the pool and view. Instantly felt relaxed and at home. The food was also delicious and one of the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka.
