The Bamboo Tree Transit Hotel, a property with a garden, is located in Katunayake, 26 km from R Premadasa Stadium, 27 km from Khan Clock Tower, as well as 32 km from Bambalapitiya Railway Station. An absolutely fantastic experience! We arrived very early in the morning (1:30 AM) and The Bamboo Tree sent us a driver who patiently waited TWO hours for us to deal with a lost baggage nightmare. We felt awful but the hotel owners were very calm and understanding. The ride to the hotel was only 15 minutes from the airport and the driver was professional. The room was very clean and comfortable and the owner let us sleep in before serving a big, delicious breakfast on our porch overlooking a beautiful courtyard. We were well taken care of by both the staff and the owners and will definitely be returning for another early morning flight out!

Taking a bath in the pool after a hot and tired day was a luxury! And breakfast was delicious and abundant! We will come back here another night at the end of our trip!
