We liked the entire property which is beautifully and originally arranged in the woods, but still very close to the road. We liked the swimming pool after well-advised excursions suggested by the host, and the nice bar with karaoke with local people inside the property. We really enjoyed the whole stay very much and recommend it wholeheartedly.

We arrived very late after 1 AM from Colombo via the express bus and the hosts waited for us! Room was spacious and comfortable with hot water and a/c. Breakfast spots were within walking distance. Their house faces the lake with migratory birds and can be a pleasing morning or evening walk. Host managed to arrange a scooter for us at a resonable price, which we took to visit the ancient capital and Mihintale. They have 2 teens and we chat with their daughter about the country, cricket, salaries and inflation. Host wife allowed us to use the kitchen to cut fruits. Host husband dropped us at the bus station on his tuk tuk for the next leg of our journey. I'd say it is a pleasant stay to get to know the locals better.

I loved this place! From the moment I arrived, I felt warmly welcomed. The owner was incredibly friendly, answered all my questions, and even offered me a welcome tea. The room and bike rental were very reasonably priced. My room was clean and comfortable, and I was even allowed to use the washing machine for free.
