ゲストハウス すまいるさん se encuentra en Iba. Perfect location to visit the countryside of Japan. This is the real Japan with Koi carpers swimming in river-like gutters and friendly helpfull villagers. On top of this, Kyoto is only half an hour away by train. We came for a nice, relaxing place to stay but got a family who was so warm and welcoming. Mizu, the hostess of Smile guesthouse is a very kind and helpful person who speaks good English. She helped and guided us to make our stay even better. The guest house is a traditional Japanese house. Beautiful and full of details. And next to that you can eat fresh strawberries at the Tanaberry farm, which is a 8 minutes walking distance. We can recommend everyone to stay here. As we immediately extended our stay the day we arrived and are planning to definitely stay again the next time we travel to Japan.

蔵の宿 隠れ蔵 se encuentra en Nagahama, a 47 km de Castillo Hikone y a 24 km de Santuario Kehi Jingu. We had a great stay in this traditional little house ! Everything is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the bathroom with a view of the surrounding fields and mountains. The family is lovely and has a great sense of hospitality. We will come back !

My wife and I are not young folks anymore. The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.

The surroundings are really beautiful but you have to consider that you are really isolated. Fast wifi, great service, highly recommended if you want to experience a "different" Japan

I'm glad I stayed here for one night because it was just a delightful experience. The hosts are very welcoming, kind, and well-prepared to communicate with you with a translator app. I was a solo traveler so it made a huge difference that I could talk to these lovely hosts. They are keen to share about the local area, so if you need some tips on what to do don't hesitate to ask them. I would definitely suggest this rural experience to anyone visiting Japan. I hope I can return here in the future and visit the Fujiwaras
