We arrived with a rented car but I think it's maybe 20-30 minutes to the nearest train station by walk. I heard the train ride there is incredible as well in sakura time but didn't have time to try it. The host family lives nextdoor, but you have a big house and yard all for yourself with all the privacy. There is a cozy fireplace, kitchen with all the amenities, TV and also an outdoor bath tube which was one of the best things. Also the host can rent you a tuktuk which was a special and unforgettable experience to drive in the countryside. We were lucky to visit by the best sakura time and the weather was also good. I also recommend trying the mochi making experience with the host family. You can also have a kotatsu outside for the evening. I'm pretty sure if you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed.

Basics like an excellent washing machine, shower/bath, comfortable bed, everything you need in the kitchen for cooking, preparing hot drinks, refrigerator and freezer storage etc are well taken care of. You will be warm and comfortable in your room (probably cool in the summer too, there is an aircon/heater). And it's a really interesting house aesthetically, so if that's your thing you'll probably love it!

I reccomend this place. I liked the contactless checkin/checkout where i just got lock pin code to my email. But the checkin form was probably unnecessarily long (unlike other hotels where they just send you without too many questions)

The river was very close, I liked biking along the river to get to the ocean, about 5 min by bike. The owner is super nice.
