A recently renovated guest house set in Birkimelur, Strönd Guesthouse features barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Hótel is small but all facilities are quite new and modern. The shared kitchen has new kitchenware and very convenient compared to other hotels that shared kitchen provided very old and not so clean kitchenware. It is located in remote area so it is quite peaceful and beautiful scenic view. We are happy there is very good warm pool nearby. The pool is cozy and not crowded at all.

Situated in Flateyri, in a historic building, 21 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, The Old Bookstore is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. A very quaint and sensitively restored property housing the oldest continuously operating bookshop in Iceland with a suite of three rooms above sharing breakfast and bathroom facilities. Stuffed with antiques and a completely authentic 1960s or maybe 50s kitchen. The refrigerator is loaded with excellent quality breakfast goodies that you can help yourself to. The staff are simply wonderful. You must visit the bookshop on your visit, it is one of the most stylish and thoughtful shops in Iceland, possibly Europe.

Akkeri Guesthouse provides rooms in Stykkishólmur. This guest house features a garden and free private parking. At the guest house, units include a desk and a flat-screen TV. It was exceptionally clean. Host friendly and cooperative.

Sunna's Guesthouse is located in Drangsnes and offers barbecue facilities. This guest house provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. simple but completely clean studio apartment with plenty of space for two people. It was warm and had a kitchen that was perfectly adequate to cook a meal. The bathroom was modern with a generously sized shower. There were two bathrobes as well as towels. It was quiet and with parking right outside. The house is up the hill from the harbour and it was a bit cold (snow everywhere) to walk to the hot pools on the shore so we took the car, but I would estimate a 10 min walk in summer.

The location was picturesque and check in was simple. Our room had its own private bathroom and it was clean with good water pressure. The heated towel rack was a bonus! The breakfast was outstanding and definitely worth the additional charge.

Drangar Country Guesthouse is set in Drangar and features a shared lounge. This guest house offers free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The staff was amazing! I feel so bad I can't remember the main woman's name but she was wonderful. So welcoming and gave us so much information about the history of Drangar as well as recommendations for the rest of our trip. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable and so quiet. The whole property is stunning and worth walking around! The breakfast was delicious and included homemade bread and jams by the owner which just felt like such a wonderful and warm touch. We both kept saying we wish we could stay longer!! It felt very special!

Guesthouse 43 has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Grundarfjordur. This guest house features a garden. The guest house features family rooms. We loved this property downstairs felt like home with plenty of space. We were there with one other family and really enjoyed interacting with them. The view, kitchen and washing machines were excellent. Check in was efficient and communication with the hosts was easy.
