Situated in Castleblayney, the recently renovated The Fairways, CastleBlayney provides accommodation 27 km from Proleek Dolmen and 27 km from Louth County Museum. Our room was beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The private bathroom was clean and well stocked with luxurious towels. We arrived late and didn’t get to meet the owner. I neglected to leave a note of thanks for all the special touches included, like a listing of area restaurants and what their specialties were. There was a separate dining room where coffee and tea was available “24/7”, although we were too tired to take advantage of it. We appreciated the water and crystal glassware left for us. So thoughtful.

They aimed to please, and they did…. Owner and cook. Great breakfast. The cook was also quite funny and entertaining. We enjoyed morning chats w/ her.
