The Avenue is perfectly located 3 mins walk from the delightful town centre of Bakewell with a good selection of bars and restaurants and local bus services very close by.The property was spotlessly clean and very warm and welcoming and very quiet at nights despite being situated on the A6.Sarah the proprietor was an excellent and helpful host and provided a lovely breakfast of delicious locally sourced ingredients and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again !.

Set in Longnor, within 11 km of Buxton Opera House and 22 km of Chatsworth House, Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese offers accommodation with a bar as well as free private parking for guests who drive. Very clean room in a cozy old stone building. Even though the building was old, the bathroom was spacious and updated. It was in a cute little town with beautiful surrounding landscapes.

Offering a garden and garden view, Thorndene B&B is located in Hope, 20 km from Chatsworth House and 20 km from Buxton Opera House. Very friendly owner, great communication. Breakfast was excellent!

A recently renovated bed and breakfast in Matlock Bank and within 15 km of Chatsworth House, Heathbank House B&B has a garden, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. Really lovely property located a short drive from Chatsworth and Bakewell, with good restaurants in Matlock. Comfy beds, nice breakfast and very attentive host, Michael!

Situated in Bradwell, in a historic building, 18 km from Buxton Opera House, Lyndale House is a bed and breakfast with a garden and terrace. This property is an absolute charmer. Amazing hosts that make you feel like it's a home away from home. We stayed in the double room and the bathroom was huge and the bed was very comfy. The pub directly over the road serves great meals, and we had a great time exploring the peak area.

Located in Castleton, 16 km from Buxton Opera House, Bulls Head, Castleton provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The Bull's Head exceeded all my expectations. It was the perfect mix of heritage/character and contemporary as it was recently entirely redone. For me, it was exactly what I wanted for my solo trip to the Peak District - really cozy and quaint, but new and fresh and clean. My room (#3) was darling - corner unit with 2 windows and great views, warm, and very charming country aesthetic. The minimal traffic and pub noise didn't bug bother me at all, the bed was comfortable, and plenty of complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the room. The continental breakfast was just right (Canadians, note that it is cold items only). The staff was friendly and lent me a very handy umbrella for my few days. I had one meal in the pub which I enjoyed, which was also cute with the fireplaces.

Featuring a garden and views of garden, The Bay Tree Bed & Breakfast is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Alton, 4 km from Alton Towers. We loved everything about our stay ! Our room was spacious yet warm and cozy. The host has really gone out of their way to ensure their guests are happy, ensuring there was nothing more you you could need. The attention to detail was wonderful. The breakfast options, snacks and treats, games for children, bedlinen, friendliness, location it couldn’t have been more perfect! ….We will return again.

Set in Sheffield and only 8.2 km from Utilita Arena Sheffield, Coniston Guest House offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. I liked how spacious the room was.

Set 6.2 km from Buxton Opera House, 27 km from Chatsworth House and 33 km from Capesthorne Hall, The Old Barn features accommodation located in Buxton. Location was idyllic and extremely convenient for both Byxton( opera house/ gardens/ shops) and wide variety of activities. We were linking Gilbert and Sullivan festival with 2 days ‘ trail’ cycling. Easy access to a number of old railway track off road routes made for a pleasant couple of days. Lynne and Pete were both fantastic. Great hosts -warm, welcoming ,helpful, friendly and just “ our kinda folk…” Thanks - we’ll be back!
