Nine King Street Seahouses room only accommodation is located in Seahouses, 5.5 km from Bamburgh Castle, 25 km from Alnwick Castle, and 33 km from Lindisfarne Castle. Had a lovely stay. Room clean and beautiful furnishings etc. Very close to harbour and town. Ample parking. Will definitely stay again

Set in Alnwick and only 700 metres from Alnwick Castle, Oronsay Guest House offers accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. It felt comfortable straight away, from Nicola's friendly welcome to the beautiful room & bathroom. Everything was quality....furniture, fittings & products. Nothing was a bother, putting our things in her fridge, providing water bottles daily, refilling tea bags & biscuits daily. Oronsay was in a perfect position to explore not only Alnwick but the surrounding areas. Alnwick is a beautiful market town with lots to see & do.

The Coach and Horses has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Hexham. Featuring a bar, the property is located within 34 km of MetroCentre. The staff were fantastic from Check In to Check Out. The location was fantastic & the food served excellent.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Hotspur House provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. First of all our host of Hotspur House Liz she is terrific , a very welcoming person and nothing to much for her . Breakfast superb . Location wise fantastic , a quiet village and not far from Hexham , Newcastle or even Durham . Our Deluxe room was excellent and clean, perfect beds . A lovely view over the village square from our bedroom ,the bathroom had a view over the garden. And last but not least a big thank you to Liz for making us feel at home (and we musn't forget to mention the homemade cookies , which we really liked.... ) We would like to recommend Hotspur House to everyone

Bird In Bush Elsdon features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Elsdon. 38 km from Alnwick Castle and 48 km from St James' Park, the property provides a bar and barbecue facilities. This place is fantastic. Little pub in a small village in the National Park. Short drives to Hadrians wall or the Northumberland coast and the pretty towns of Otterburn and Bellingham. Beautifully decorated rooms with private bathrooms. Free parking out front on street. Lovely little bar with friendly staff and locals. Breakfast room and restaurant/cafe is gorgeous and a decent breakfast is included in the room price. It's the quintessential cozy, 'old England' that one thinks of when wanting to holiday here. We love it. (Notes: only here two nights so we didn't think about finding out whether there is anywhere to do laundry, and of course there are no self-catering facilities, although apparently there is a BBQ, but we chose to eat out so didn't ask to use it)

Set in Gilsland and only 2.7 km from Thirlwall Castle, Dacre House, Gilsland offers accommodation with river views, free WiFi and free private parking. We loved staying here and wish we had booked in for two nights!

Offering sea views, Chandlers BnB is an accommodation situated in Seahouses, 600 metres from Seahouses North Beach and 5.4 km from Bamburgh Castle. Very clean and well appointed, with nice bedding & towels. The room was spacious- loved the 4 poster bed! It was quiet and close to the harbour.

Set in Wooler, 28 km from Bamburgh Castle, Yearle House offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a shared lounge. We used Yearle House as a centre for completing the 2nd three day section of the St. Cuthberts Way path. Local taxi service ( Des Hood) was excellent for taking us to our start point etc. Yearle House is exceptional. If you are up for a bit of English, country-house grandeur, this is it. Mylo and Poppy are superb hosts. Breakfast was in a spacious dining room overlooking the garden and fields beyond. The coffee (my yardstick for breakfast reviews) was, I'm pleased to say, unlimited in quantity and at the top end of taste. As for the smoked trout and perfectly au-point, 'strangled' eggs...to die for. Yearle House is big. The bedroom is big. The bathroom is huge, bigger than the average B&B bedroom. The staircase is big with ancestral oil portraits lining the walls. The living room is vast and comfortable and beautifully furnished with a wood burner to add to the relaxing ambience. A well stocked drinks fridge etc at pretty-much, at-cost prices. A 'pantry' upstairs with all manner of coffee and teas and a daily, home-made, sweet treat. Superb and very quiet location a mile or so from Wooler which has an excellent, and very popular, restaurant, the Milan. This is a first-class B&B and I can simply confirm the many previous glowing reviews!
