We had a stroll down the pathway before breakfast to see the sheep and cows. Debbie even offered to iron my husband’s shirt before our event … and then realizing he was RAF let him do it himself and stayed for a chat. It honestly felt like family.

We extremely enjoyed our holiday on Arran in this lovely guest house. Emily was an amazing host!! There were only 4 rooms in the Monamore, each one named after one of the famous Arran's attractions and decorated appropriately. Our room 'Glenashdale' (a picturesque waterfall) with a nice view on the back yard and woodland with a lot of birds and squirrels, had a small fridge, kettle, coffee/tea/biscuits. The bathroom was very comfortable with a shower with very good water pressure - so nice after a day of hiking! Breakfasts were delicious,, Emily's home-made granola was unsurpassed. Also, there was access to this common dining room with cutlery for guests up to 9.30pm where, if you want, you may have dinner with your takeaways. Emily provided a great guide with a bunch of nice places where to eat or order takeaways. The food on Arran was surprisingly delicious, we also strongly recommend checking out local ice-cream, cheese and whisky. We would love to come back and stay in Monamore for more days as despite Arran being not big, but so diverse and beautiful, that you want to expose every hill and wally to fill yourself with wonderful impressions. Do not forget to take anything (repellent worked quite well) to protect yourself from midges, they could be nasty when you are not moving.

Nos quedaba de paso para ir desde Glasgow a Liverpool. Llegamos pasada la medianoche, por lo que nos vino bien que tenga una recepción 24h. La habitación era súper grande, además de la cama doble tenía dos camas individuales. Muy limpio y cómodo. El desayuno bastante completo y el personal muy amable. 100%recomendable!

El Rose Cottage ofrece una habitación con cama doble (muy cómoda) y baño privado. El baño no esta en la misma habitación pero si al lado de la misma. Todo esta muy limpio. La habitación tiene una ventana que da a un jardín muy cuidado. Se encuentra a 20 minutos a pie del aeropuerto de Prestwick de manera que es un alojamiento ideal si se debe coger un vuelo por la madrugada o si se llega muy tarde. Se puede utilizar la cocina para hacerse un te o un café. Los dueños son muy amables y simpáticos.
La ubicación del hotel junto al mar es excepcional. Sentado en su terraza se ve la puesta de sol. El hotel parece una mansión acondicionada para recibir huéspedes. El desayuno muy bien.
