I was surprised about the spacious size and the many extra amenities in the room. Also the hotel and room been decorated with love and I liked the retro vibe. Delicious food cooked by the owner. L'Esplanade Lille is set in the historic centre of Lille in front of the Citadel of Lille and a 14-minute walk from Lille Grand Place. Seriously, this is one of the best hotels I have booked. Ambiance is perfect. The room is lovely, large, comfortable, clean, warm and with a beautiful view. 5-10mins walk to the center and nice bars or restaurants. Breakfast was peaceful, with a nice view and appretizing.

Every detail in this place is tastefully decorated, and it is evident that a great deal of care and attention has been devoted to creating a delightful atmosphere. The entire place is brand new, very clean, and incredibly inviting. The owner, Benjamin, is not only friendly but also an interesting person. His warm hospitality made us feel truly welcomed. Located just a 10-minute drive from the beautiful beach of Boulogne-sur-Mer and other popular tourist attractions, the location of this manor is ideal. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this area. Thierry was an exceptional host with great communication, very friendly and exceptionally helpful. The property is absolutely fantastic and spotlessly clean with all the facilities we required (we knew there was no WiFi before arrival). The whole set up with the communal area for socialising, eating and drinking is a great idea. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A wonderful property perfectly located between Vimy and Ypres for those visiting those sites. Facilities were excellent and hospitality was first rate. Wish we could have stayed a few more days
