This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Firstly, we were happy to be staying in a family-run hotel and to be able to support a family business. The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, giving us tips for what to do and where to go and even for restaurants in the area as we were there during Christmas and the selection was very limited. We were also kept up to date about the weather and various other conditions in the general area. The breakfast was amazing, including the selection of the family's homemade jams. There were so many that we couldn't try them all! Fresh bread, loads of cold cuts and eggs, a huge variety of cereals, and fresh fruit.

Breakfast was delicious and served in an amazing way, it was a masterpiece:-) The Pension is located close to the railway station, the market place and all the tourist attractions, as well as the bus stop where you can catch the bus to Moritzburg Castle. Our stay at the Pension was a pleasure and the owner was great - really nice and helpful. and at night you can listen to the sound of the river flowing right behind the Pension - awesome experience.
