With the free upgrade, I had a large room with two beautiful kang beds. The room was extremely clean. It was wonderful to have such an authentic experience, with traditional furniture and even a wooden door that locks with padlock and key. Both heating and aircon ensured my comfort, the water was hot and the guesthouse owner was very kind. It's also in a fantastic location.

La Pingyao Jiaxin Guesthouse dispone di camere con decorazioni in stile cinese tradizionale. Dista solo 4 minuti a piedi dalla stazione ferroviaria di Pingyao. The staff was so kind and happy all the time, they helped me a lot and they speak English, which is pretty rare in China, even in some hotels. They gave me a map and recommended some places, also asked a taxi for me for the next day that I had my train to Beijing in the morning. The shared dorm was clean, had shampoo, air conditioner, clean sheets, futon, and pillow. Also curtains for privacy. I enjoyed my stay a lot. They even gave me a little souvenir on my way out and free water. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Amazing price and just five minutes walking from North Gate of the old city. Supermarket right on the corner.

Service was great. We were picked up at the parking lot with a shuttle bus. Dinner in the hotel was perfect and delicious. They even offered gluten free food! The owner family were very friendly and supported us in any situation. We strongly recommend this hotel as it is a pleasure to stay there. We surely will come back, when we are around this area again.

Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.

Ospitato in un cortile risalente a 400 anni fa, costruito sulla dinastia Qing, il Pingyao Jintaisheng Hotel era l'unica fabbrica di farina della Città Antica di Pingyao, Patrimonio dell'Umanità... Casa tradizionale antica bellissima, al centro di Pingyao ma in una zona tranquilla. Tutto molto pulito e accogliente. Proprietari gentili e disponibili. Sicuramente è la struttura più bella in cui abbiamo soggiornato durante il nostro viaggio in Cina. Fortemente consigliato!
