A spacious villa uphill in the quiet countryside of Switzerland with everything a family needs. A massive garden overlooks the village with swings for children to play. The beds are so comfy that we almost fell asleep immediately. Clean everywhere. A lot of options for breakfast, even some homemade products. 3 bathrooms and toilets for the guests! One of the bathroom has a big bath tub. We only stayed 1 night so didn't have time to use it. The property has 2 floors and the land lady slept in an extended part on the ground floor. She took care of us and cleaned the table and kitchen after our dinner and breakfast. At first I felt a little awkward that the land lord was around. But she is so friendly and kind that you almost feel you are served by a caring mother and a granny of my kids. She couldn't speak English very well but still made the effort to chat with us using Google Translate. My wife and kids had been afraid of dogs for a long time due to negative experience from before, but her dog "Mo" gave us a calm and friendly feeling that my kids started to play with it the next morning. On our departure she gave us a full bag of food including home-made jams and bread to eat on our way home. What a hospitality! We feel home here and will never forget such a warm-hearted land lady!

We rented the loft, and it was great. The balcony was absolutely lovely, and I'm still sorry that we didn't have the time to use the garden as it was also a great place. The host also lent us her parking place, so we could park our car and we really appreciate it. The loft is a duplex, there is the living room, bathroom, kitchen, a bedroom and balcony in the first floor, and a second bedroom in the second floor. All of them had everything we could ever need. I wish we had booked it for more than one night. Also, its location is really good and as we walked down to the city center, we saw the loveliest scenery ever. P.S. Our lovely host, thank you for the pins you gave me! You saved me from a lot of trouble!

The host is really kind and very nice, polite and unobtrusive; she gave me many useful tips on how to get around the city. The room I stayed in is very spacious and clean, as is the bathroom (which is shared with the other room; in my case there were no other guests, so it was all to myself). There is also a room where you can get coffee, tea, water and chocolates. The breakfast is excellent: continental; among other things, I enjoyed homemade jams and fresh bread and brioche. If I return to Bern, this will be my first choice of accommodation. Also highly recommended for the quality/price ratio of lodgings in Bern.

I chose the breakfast drop off and it was so lovely waking up and having a nice light euro breakfast on my door! also train station to get to Bern is 500m away so very nice place to stay if you do not have car or bike. loved the HUGE closet and shower! also the hair dryer was very nice. all the small details were so wonderful. even had a tan for the warm July weather!
