Very comfortable base for visiting the island with a great breakfast. Easy 10 minute walk to the Horseshoe Bay restaurants and great bus service for the rest of the island. We would definitely stay here again.

Oskar's Rain Forest Retreat offers accommodation in Nelly Bay, just 1.5 km from Nelly Bay Beach and a 2-minute walk from the National Park. Free WiFi is provided. immaculate presentation. beautifully furnished, attention to detail. very comfy bed, excellent shower, gorgeous outdoor decking looking directly at rainforest. cockatoos looking straight back at you! lovely fridge style breakfasts too. the dawn chorus of birds is magnificent, but noisy! also, wallabies come and go. delightful! the property is quite a way out of Nelly bay but the excellent bus service runs right by a minute away. don't hire a car, they can't go anywhere that the bus can't. day ticket on bus $6. car hire for a day $70 minimum.
