Coffee Garden, hotel in Captain Cook

Very cozy place surrounded by a garden which provides most of the food. The hosts are friendly and interesting people. If you're lucky, you'll get a tour through the garden, with its different fruit trees and many other insights to help you get to know the surrounding area better.

Kona Bayview Inn, hotel in Captain Cook

Kona Bayview Inn in Captain Cook provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. Guests can enjoy sea views.

We really enjoyed our time here. The accommodation is away from any tourist hotspots, it feels like you're in the middle of nature and the view is fantastic. Due to the quiet location, you are always dependent on a car, but that didn't bother us, as you are travelling a lot on Big Island anyway to explore the island and are therefore dependent on a car anyway. You can them get to a supermarket and various food spots in just a few minutes. Thomas and Sharon (as well as their furry flatmates) gave us a very warm welcome. Over the course of the days, they kept giving us great tips on where to go and what to see. They even lent us the equipment for snorkelling. There are also camping chairs in the room that you can take with you, which is very useful on Big Island as sandy beaches, for example, are rather rare. Breakfast was delicious every morning and very varied. The room was well equipped and very clean. We can highly recommend the Kona Bayview Inn, it is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in.

Ka'awa Loa Plantation, hotel in Captain Cook

Set within 5.2 km of Kealakekua Bay State Historical Park and 5.7 km of Kealakekua Bay in Captain Cook, Ka'awa Loa Plantation offers accommodation with seating area.

This place was nothing short of an oasis. The house, the rooms, the views, the decor, the zenitude and the best of the best - Hannah and her big heart. <3 when I close my eyes and think about Hawai'i I'm sitting on your veranda eating the fabulous breakfast, drinking your coffee and thinking "oh what a wonderful world".. Would be back a 100 times!

The peaceful view over the pool area and the courtesy and friendliness of Carol and Kevin, the caretakers, was awesome. Breakfast with fresh fruits and local delicacies in the pool area was delicious and relaxing and the lawn was well taken care of.

View of Pacific Ocean from upper deck is gorgeous. Feeling like waking up at a farm with cows and pigs roaming in the morning. Breakfast at the upper deck including fresh fruits and juice was just nice to kick start the day.

Breakfast was delicious with gourmet coffee. The private lanai had a nice view of park lands and wildlife. We borrowed some of the snorkel gear that they provided for guests. The location was convenient for getting to the Captain Cook monument and two step snorkeling. Carl and his German Shepherd Rex were gracious hosts. We thought Hale-Hoola was a great value for staying near Kona.

What a wonderful relaxed place. Loved the substantial breakfast on the upper lanei with the birds to watch. Our room faced the ocean and the sunset and had its own private lanei. We could bring food back from local restaurants and there was a microwave. It was a brilliant location for the national park and Two Steps snorkelling. Our hosts were very welcoming. Lovely comfy bed. Beach equipment provided too.

I enjoyed the location, but I enjoyed meeting Kurt and Kana more. They were nice people and treated us well. The food was amazing. I never experienced bed and breakfast. This experience was very unique because we had fresh fruits and something new everyday. Thank Doctor Kurt and I hope one day we can met again. Mahalo!
